Over time your printer doesn’t produce the best quality prints this can be avoided if you do some basic maintenance and cleaning.
If you clean your printer it keeps it in good condition and it will last for years and in the long run save you money. It can also solve problems like paper jam’s from happening, smudging on the print and white lines going through the print which sometimes makes you think is my ink cartridge running out.
Before you start cleaning, check your printer manual to see if there are any cleaners that they recommend to use on your printer and only clean the recommended areas on your printer.
In cleaning the inside of your printer as before check with your printer instructions and make sure that anything you try does not invalidate your warranty.
Cleaning the outside of your printer
By dusting the outside of your printer with a lint free cloth or wiping with a damp cloth (not wet). This will reduce the dust that can get into your printer.
Head clean nozzle clean.
Only do this if your printer is smudging on the paper or not printing correctly as this is an indication that your printer heads are blocked. Or if you like try now and again if you have not been using your printer as this can soften any blocked ink.
You can either do this through your printer control panel or you can find this on your computer by accessing your printer software under the heading maintenance or tools.
Doing this unblocks any dried ink in the printer heads.
Print head alignment
If the writing is not straight or fuzzy try doing a print head alignment this can be also found also on your printer control panel or by accessing your printer software maintenance or tools.
