Welcome to Cartridge Discount’s Recycling Scheme
In addition to taking around 90ml of oil to make an ink cartridge, it is estimated in the UK over 40 million cartridges go to landfills each year with the plastics used in ink cartridges taking over 1000 years to decompose
By recycling your ink cartridges you are not only helping the environment but for every cartridge we receive we will donate up to £1 to Cancer Research UK.
Please note due to recycling limitations we DO NOT collect all cartridges including Epson Cartridges, Brother Cartridges or Toner Cartridges
if applicable please use the recycle envelope that comes with you order to return empty cartridges to us.
Thanks for helping us with our recycle scheme!
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximize separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK retailers must provide a process which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items, on a like-for-like basis.
Find more information on WEEE recycling and locate your local recycling centre at www.recyclenow.com
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK’s fasting growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, the electrical equipment will end up in landfill, with the potential of hazardous substances leaking and contaminating soil and water – harming both wildlife and human health.
We can help
If you are purchasing a new ink or toner cartridge, we are pleased to offer our customers the opportunity to recycle their old one.
Please contact us for details on how you can dispose of your WEEE items.
To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please recycle all products that bear this symbol.
